Job Description

Essential Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service to all patients, complete with a smile Answer phones, direct phone calls, and take messages Schedule patient appointments (initial/follow-up/reschedule) Enter pertinent patient information into the electronic medical record system Verify insurance, and collect co-pays, co-insurances and any other payments due from the patients Maintain a neat, clean and organized reception area and ensure cleanliness throughout the office Team Player, willing to go above and beyond for patient experience and team support

Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Detail oriented Ability to multitask Willingness to learn (medical terminology, scheduling protocols, etc.) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple calls/tasks simultaneously while maintaining a pleasant demeanor At least a High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of Microsoft Office (to create letters, faxes, etc..), and be proficient in professional email communication. Medical receptionist experience is a MUST Prior knowledge of Insurance is required Must be familiar with checking insurance benefits Additional Information: The ideal candidate is always looking to do more, be a great asset to the team, and provide excellent customer service. He or she is a self-starter and does not wait to be directed to perform daily functions. To be successful in this position you must be an outgoing and driven individual who is compassionate to the needs of others. In this role, you are the first person the patient interacts with and we will depend on you to provide the right first impression to every patient.
